Nusuk app guide
Nusuk is the official Saudi app and website for Umrah permits and Rawdah visits. What it does, how to get the real app, and the parts the official pages leave unclear.
What is Nusuk?
Nusuk is the official app and website for Hajj, Umrah and visiting the Rawdah. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah supervises it, and its website is nusuk.sa. Saudi officials have warned that services advertised outside Nusuk are deceptive, and UK police reported fake websites posing as the official booking site in 2026. Only use nusuk.sa, its sub-sites such as umrah.nusuk.sa, and the official store apps below.
Nusuk login and account help
We have not found an official step-by-step guide for creating a Nusuk account as a foreign visitor (which ID is accepted, or whether a visa number or Saudi phone number is needed). The ministry's Rawdah page mentions signing in with Nafath, which is a Saudi national login. We won't repeat unofficial instructions. If you cannot log in, contact Nusuk directly:

Nusuk app download: the official listings
- Apple App Store: "Nusuk | نسك", developer Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
- Google Play: "Nusuk | نسك" (com.moh.nusukapp), developer shown as "Ministry of Hajj and Umra".
- Huawei AppGallery: "Nusuk", developer Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
These are the listings Nusuk's own download buttons point to. The ministry also publishes "Nusuk Business" for service providers — that is not the pilgrim app.
What the Nusuk application does
Nusuk's official services guide lists, among others:
- For pilgrims: Umrah permit, Rawdah permit, Nusuk Card (a digital ID that links your permits), Nusuk Maps, Virtual Motawef (an Umrah ritual guide), an AI assistant, companion management and completion certificates.
- Travel and shopping: hotel and flight booking, Haramain train tickets, tour programmes, mobile data packages, Nusuk Wallet, Nusuk Marketplace and Zamzam water purchase.
- Information: Haram live sermons, crowd status for the Prophet's Mosque, prayer times and Qibla direction.
Some services are only for users inside Saudi Arabia, so not every service is available to every visitor.
Nusuk Umrah permit
- Log in to the Nusuk app or website.
- Go to View Permits → Issue a Permit → Umrah permit.
- Pick a date and time from what is available. The permit is free and issued immediately.
- You can hold one active Umrah permit at a time and book another after it expires. Saudi rules set no limit on how many times you perform Umrah.
- Turn up at the time on your permit. Nusuk does not promise entry if you are late.
- Permits are shown and checked in the Nusuk and Tawakkalna apps, at assembly points at the entrances to the Haram courtyards.
- Children may perform Umrah.
Nusuk Umrah: the official package website
Nusuk Umrah (umrah.nusuk.sa) is a separate Nusuk website for buying Umrah packages from the ministry's authorised Saudi service providers. Packages can include the visa, flights, hotels in Makkah or Madinah, transport between cities, insurance and ground services. You register with your passport, contact and visa-issuance details. Packages are shown according to your country of residence; if your country isn't covered, contact one of its listed providers for a custom package. Nusuk Umrah packages have an age limit of 5 years, and registering does not guarantee acceptance.

Nusuk and the Umrah visa
Since June 2025, an Umrah visa is issued only after hotels licensed by the Ministry of Tourism are booked and the contract is recorded on the Nusuk Masar platform. This does not apply if you perform Umrah on a tourist eVisa. Compare your options in our Umrah visa guide.
