Frequently asked questions
What do I need for Umrah?
A valid passport, a Saudi visa that allows Umrah (the tourist eVisa, the UK ETA or an Umrah visa), the meningitis ACWY vaccine, a free Umrah permit booked in the Nusuk app, and travel insurance if your visa does not include it.
When should I get the meningitis vaccine for Umrah?
At least 10 days before you arrive in Saudi Arabia. The vaccine is required for all Umrah travellers; carry the certificate.
How long must my passport be valid for Umrah?
Saudi Arabia asks for at least six months beyond your date of entry; some governments count from the end of the stay. The planner shows the safer date: six months after you leave.
When do I book the Umrah permit?
In the Nusuk app, for the date and time you will perform Umrah. It is free, and you can hold one active permit at a time.
Does the planner store my details?
No. The plan is calculated in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to us. The page address keeps your choices so you can bookmark or share it.
